Additional Commercial Coverages

One of the reasons it’s so important to have independent insurance agents like the team at RNI on your side is that the insurance you require depends on the industry you operate in and the unique needs of your business; given those variables, figuring out what insurance coverages are ideal for you can be complicated. Our agents will take the time to get to know your business and suggest any coverages you may need in addition to the usual workers’ compensation, property, auto and general liability policies.

What Additional Coverages We Offer

After assessing the specific needs of each client, we frequently recommend one or more of the following coverages:

  • Employment Practice Liability Insurance (EPLI): Often an add-on to workers’ compensation insurance, EPLI insurance covers you if an employee sues your company alleging damages that are related to employment practices instead of an illness or injury. Some common examples include harassment, wrongful termination, discrimination and breach of employment contract.
  • Bonds: Bond insurance, also known as financial guaranty insurance, ensures a bond issuer will be protected if a borrower defaults on their payments.
  • Church Insurance: Having a church insurance policy for your church or other religious institution will help make your insurance simpler by bundling all the various coverages you need, so you have more time to focus on your ministry.
  • Restaurant Insurance: Restaurants have to deal with risks specific to the food service industry, like someone becoming ill because of something you served, spoilage of inventory because of a power outage, and an increased risk of damage from fire. Our agents will ensure that you’re protected from all the potential hazards you face as a restauranteur.
  • Occupational/Accident Insurance: Occupational/Accident insurance is designed for companies that hire independent contractor truckers. It gives them the extra protection they need—including medical, disability, dismemberment and death benefits—given the dangerous nature of being on the road every day.
  • Inland Marine Insurance: Inland marine insurance is important for anyone who transports from site to site (by sea, air or land) the tools and supplies they need to operate their business. Inland marine insurance covers your business assets if they’re lost, stolen or damaged while in transit.
  • Owner/Operator Insurance: When you own and operate your own small business independently, your insurance needs are different than a company that employs several people. At RNI, we’ll help you find the coverage you need at an affordable price.

We’re here for you and will be happy to discuss any gaps in insurance coverage that may be present in your business.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Raymond Nelson Insurance Agency Inc., my Agent, Linda Wood and the team at RNI. I had lost all faith in insurance companies until that disaster with a former agency. Linda Wood at RNI stepped in and picked me up when I was down and restored my faith in Insurance Agents. There are some really great people out there who truly do appreciate my Business.

The last thing you want to have to worry about after a catastrophic event is the timeliness of your insurance company to put things back to normal in your life.

In June of 2019, our family, by the grace of God, survived a horrific tornado, however our home, car, workshop and personal belongings did not. After the initial shock, we immediately called to report our claim. We are insured with Raymond Nelson Insurance and Safeco and within minutes of us filing the claim, we were contacted by an adjuster. One adjuster drove from Louisville and the other from Cincinnati the next morning to sit down and discuss the next steps of getting our lives back in order.

They made us feel like a part of their family. On a scale of to 10 we will definitely give them a 10.5! We never had to question them about anything and trusted them 100%. We are recommending Raymond Nelson Insurance to our friends and family!
